Our Brooklyn Beginnings
I opened Grand Sahara Mediterranean Grill in 1986 on Coney Island Avenue, sharing the flavors I grew up with in Turkey. Friends and family crowded the tiny spot, hungry for warm bread and sizzling kebabs. Their smiles told me to keep going.
